So, I went to the County Fair on Thursday. If you’ve never gone to the fair before, or even if you have, go with a good sized group. I went with most of the day crew people at Togo’s, and it was a nice ratio too; me and one other guy, and roughly ten girls.
Although, when we got there a few of them branched off and did some shopping. We went to see the animals first, because one of the girls that was still in my group use to show animals.
Then, on our way from the animals to the carnival rides, we passed by the mechanical bull. The ride cost $5. All the girls were pitching in a buck to see me go up on it. I put in one dollar myself and they paid for the rest. While I was getting ready to hop on, they all took out their cameras; one of them even got video of my first ride. We looked back at the video and found saw that it was 28 seconds long (I was surprised).
From there we met up with the other group and moved on to the rides. $20 for 24 tickets, but the rides were fun.
Most of the girls were getting face paintings, so I decided that I’d get a characiture done of me. Everybody kept saying how it looked just like me while the guy was drawing it. The characiture was $7, but I like it and I’ve always wanted to get a characiture. I just wish I had spent the extra two dollars and had him add a mechanical bull to the picture.
We decided to not bother with the overpriced food at the fair and went to In ‘n Out to eat. Most of the people had to leave around 9pm, but 5 of us stayed at one of the out-door tables and just chatted for about an hour.
Going in a group to the fair is the only way to go. It was a great experience, and a fun way to spend the evening.
Total Cost: roughly $44.50
