One Month and Six Hundred Sandwiches Later

So I’ve been absent for a month now. Not too much has happened for me to make individual posts about. I’m still working at Togo’s and going to class. I sprained my ankle in Tennis this last Wednesday though. I was still warming up, working on my over-head smashes. The ball got lobbed to me a little bit too far back. When I jumped to reach it (I missed :-P ), I must have been leaning back because I landed on the side of my back foot and kept going down. I had to sit out my first two games of our class tournament.

This tournament isn’t an elimination style, so I could still win (very high hopes). It’s all doubles, and the tournament is decided by total number of games won. Each match will be played with a different partner, and consists of 4 games plus a tie breaker (which we count as a game for scoring purposes). The tie breaker will be played no matter what, so I missed out on ten games. I think my ankle will be healed by Monday (I’m hoping anyway) so I can play those games.

I took some of my old games to Gamestop the other day to trade them in. After trading in eleven games, buying a new game, and renewing my subscription to Game Informer (I also got a card with that that gives me more money back on trade-ins), I spent a total of $2.62. The total amount that I got back for all those games was $77.01.

This morning I woke up at 4:00AM to help make 600 sandwiches. It took about an hour and a half (we started around 5:30) for 8 people to make the sandwiches, but a couple of us got a good system going. Tonight I will be working at the Cameron Park store, so it should be an interesting change.

Well that’s it for now. Kind of longer than I thought it would be, but that’s okay. I’ll try not to let an entire month slip by again, but no promises.
