Rockin’ Party

Well Wednesday I finally got my new phone delivered. My brother, and my Mom and I got a new phone plan (we left my dad out of it because he never uses his phone anyway). I didn’t really have much time to play with it before I had to go to work though, so I decided to bring it with me. I was planning on going to Kyle’s apartment after work so that we could go to Cody and Becca’s home in Elk Grove for a game night that I hope we will bring back every week like they use to do when Kyle lived down there. Anyway, I got a BlackBerry Pearl, and since Kyle had a BB Curve, I asked him a few questions about it on our way down there.

Based on how my Magic deck did last time, I decided to spend a night reworking it. It stated out as a Green/Black/White suspension deck, and turned into a Black/Blue semi-suspension deck. I say “semi-suspension” because this deck didn’t really have much in the way of actual suspended cards throughout the game. I instead had more of a delaying deck, and since there were only nine creatures (I found that out on Wednesday) I didn’t really have much in the way of counter-attacking, so I was just delaying my own demise.

Saturday was the day for the Rock Band “party” at my house. This had been planned since January, and I think it turned out quite well. The first to arrive were Cody and Lilly, as well as some very delicious Muddy Buddies. Shortly after, Dave Hampton arrived while Cody tried his hand at the drums, then Lilly took a shot at it. With Max arriving, we got the full band together and used all the instruments while we waited on Jen and Ryan to get “un-lost” (I’m still kind of confused about where they went). My parents got back from their dinner before Kevin and Monica showed up, so they were probably the only ones to really meet my mom.

I was able to get every to sing a few songs, unfortunately, only the Togo’s people would sing (Dave sang too). I do have a few pictures I’ll add to the Gallery (once I can get it working again ), and I’ll be giving a video to Ryan to do with as he pleases (he shot a video of Jen playing guitar through an entire song), I have another video which gets all the players (except Ryan’s out of the shot on the right).Things started to wind down around 10:30, it was unfortunate that some people couldn’t go, so for Sarah, Jordaine, Mercedes, Jessica, Megan and the rest, we should try to do this again.

I’m still working on my reviews page, just didn’t get to it this week, I’ll update at anytime with any news on it.
