Well After playing around with my new phone, I have some likes, and some dislikes. First off, the keypad took some getting used to; no longer did I have three or four letters per button, now it’s mostly two letters per button. It’s set up in the qwerty style (like a keyboard you would use with a computer), so I had to change the way I make words with a phone. Even though I can type very well on a keyboard, I had to think about it a little because I’m not used to typeing like that on a phone.
The calendar is quite nice, it has the week spread out from left to right (if it’s in week view like I set it to), and the times are vertical. If there is an event or something, it will show up as a green line through the day, and when an area of the event is selected, you’re given a little description of what it is, and the time that it runs though. The main problem I have with the phone is that, because it’s a blackberry, it’s geared more for business people. Even though I got a more consumer friendly model, it still leaves out a lot that of things I liked in the contact area of my old phone. I can no longer put in birthdays, or anniversaries, no, but I can have two work numbers, two home numbers, cell phone and a fax number lucky me
So all you people with a fax, give me your number and I’ll send you something (like I’ll ever use that feature).
Well this week, I had to work on Wednesday, so I couldn’t go with Kyle to play magic (he ended up not going either), but I did buy a bunch of Magic stuff to get back into the game. I’ll have all day off this Wednesday, so I’ll definitely be going (I’ll have to try out the new deck I made from the newest block [Lorwyn and Morningtide]).
The past three Mondays, I’ve been heading out to the tennis courts getting my arm warmed up with some serves, I would like to get someone else out there to play, but people usually have work or school. If you would like to play with me (and live in the area), I usually have all day Monday, and sometimes Wednesday and Friday. Contact me and let me know.
